The School Council/ RRSA steering group
The Council meets fortnightly to discuss a number of issues related to learning. It meets during music assembly to avoid losing learning time.
Its core purpose is:
- To discuss and sort out problems related to pupils' well-being and learning. These may include school lunches, behaviour or ideas for fundraising events.
- Members of the council are responsible for carrying out the ideas that have been agreed on the School Council Action Plan, such as running petitions, writing newspaper articles, or meeting with other staff.
- The children also survey their peers to get more information about children's views.
- They run assemblies for the school to tell children about their progress with the Action Plan.
